If you’re reading this and are wondering what the heck ‘retargeting’ is, you’re not alone.
Even if you’ve never heard the term before, I can pretty much guarantee you’ve been on the receiving end of retargeting.
Retargeting in a nutshell…
Have you ever visited a website, and then suddenly you’re seeing ads for that same product everywhere you go? That’s retargeting.
You know, they’re those (annoying) ads that follow you around as you surf the web.
As annoying as they are, re-targeting has proven to be very powerful.
Studies suggest that website visitors who are retargeted with display ads are 70% more likely to convert on a retailer’s website.
It’s just a way of reaching potential customers after they have shown interest in your product.
This way, if you’re paying for online advertising you can focus in on people already interested in what you’re selling.
Use Facebook to retarget potential customers
The world is on Facebook – in fact, as of this writing there are approximately 2 billion registered users. Chances are your customers are one of them.
Facebook has a neat tool called ‘Facebook Pixel’. This allows businesses to retarget potential customers.
It’s free to setup so there is no harm in getting started.
Then, when you’re ready to buy ads, you can reach an audience that’s already been to your website.
Pretty cool, eh?
